‘This is is really interesting. I wonder how the Mount Isa Woolworths, for example, is actually profitable? The logistics and cost in delivering so many products fresh daily must be quite something. Also: today, I learnt that the original name for their first store was “Woolworths Stupendous Bargain Basement”. You don’t see the word ‘stupendous’ enough … They may not have it delivered fresh daily, I’d also imgaine they sell a lot more stuff in bulk that can be than your normal Woolies. Such as the 20kg washing powder buckets … Nah, just normal range. Saw bulk stuff for cattle stations at the Normanton General Store though
